Jasmine Thelemaque is an alumna of Hofstra University, where she completed her studies at the Lawrence Herbert School of Communication and obtained her Master of Arts degree in Journalism.

Thelemaque has worked on several video projects and held internships in writing for publications. At Hofstra University, she volunteered her time working at the decision desk during the midterm elections at Hofstra Votes Live (2022), reporting breaking news and tracking votes during the midterm elections.
